(LAS VEGAS - FEBRUARY 19) The newly launched African Chamber of Commerce and Tourism (ACCAT), will host its ribbon cutting reception on Wednesday, February 27 at 4170 S Decatur Blvd, suite 8A, in Las Vegas to commemorate its launch. ACCAT, which was incorporated last April, was founded to help bridge the gap between U.S. and trade with businesses on African Continent. ACCAT’s mission is to engage the U.S. business community, facilitate trade between the United States and African countries, and introduce the U.S. business community to the continent's vast economic opportunities.
The African Chamber of Commerce will initiate seminars and conferences as well as trade exhibitions to help business showcase their goods and services to the community both locally and internationally. A documented and widespread interest in fostering greater business ties with Africa was the foundation on which ACCT was conceptualized, as well as the basis of the origination’s mission:
“African Chamber of Commerce and Tourism (ACCAT) goal is to promote and enhance bilateral trade, economic development, investment opportunities, education, cultural exchange and technology transfer between Las Vegas and Africa, in the context of U.S Africa Growth Opportunity ACT (AGOA). African Chamber of Commerce and Tourism will collaborate with corporations, small business leaders, government agencies in order to develop and facilitate trade and economic ties between Africa and the U.S.”
